Talk Money With Me – Five crucial steps to building a healthy relationship with your money +
Why is it that we know more about what’s going on in our friend’s bedroom than we do about their finances? Money is a sensitive topic, but you shouldn’t be afraid to talk about something that has such an immediate impact on your own well-being.
Kelley Keehn is on a mission to make Canadians feel good about money. In this fast-paced presentation, she’ll break down emotional barriers that hold you back and give you the tools you need to have the difficult conversations about your financial health. Spoiler alert: you won’t find any judgment, guilt, or finger-wagging in this talk. Nor the dredded “B” word (hint: budget) that’s as easy to stick to as the newest fad diet.
Whether you stumbled financially during COVID, need to catch up on mortgage deferrals and other debts, replenish your rainy day fund, Kelley will help you get you back on track with concrete steps, tools and resources that will leave you feeling energized and at peace with your financial situation.
Money is an important part of your life, regardless of your age, salary, and social status. So why doesn’t anyone talk about it? Women & Wealth +
Canadian women will control nearly half of the country’s wealth by 2024, an estimated $3 trillion! Are they ready?
In the 1960s, people used to whisper about cancer. Now we run for the cure! But when it comes to money, even with plethora of resources available to individuals, financial literacy is still an issue in 2020, especially for women.
Despite the progress that women have made in the workplace, the simple fact of the matter is that many women still struggle with money basics. Whether by design, accident or choice, what would happen for a woman in the event of divorce, death of a spouse, inheritance, or the sale of a business? Without a firm financial footing, these critical points in her life can cause undue stress and leave her vulnerable.
That doesn’t have to be the case! In this dynamic keynote, Kelley Keehn addresses the unique financial needs of Canadian women using case stories, rich with insights and actionable steps. Kelley will help you step up to the plate so you can tackle complex decisions like your will, RRSPs, charitable giving, negotiating your salary and any other challenges you may come across on your financial journey.
At the end of the day, there are only three things you can do with your money: spend it, save it, and leave it to those you care about. Let’s maximize your opportunities in all three areas, so you can live comfortably today and in the future! --
Creating a S.A.F.E. Financial Life:
Learn how to protect your family from identity theft & investment fraud +
Financial crime isn't a popular topic, but it is something that victimizes a growing number of Canadians each year, many of whom are too embarrassed or ashamed to report it. Even though it's estimated that fraud costs Canadians more than $10 billion each year, the RCMP reports that an overwhelming nine in 10 Canadians who are victimized don't speak to anyone about it.
Based on Kelley's research for the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada's recent award-winning, financial literacy publication, Protecting You and Your Money; A Guide to Avoiding Identity Theft and Fraud, this presentation will help you to:
- Protect yourself by preventing cyber-crime, identity theft and 5 other types of fraud,
- Spot current investment scams so you and your family can avoid them,
- Tips to protect your identity against growing data breeches,
- Case studies and lessons from Bernie Madoff, Earl Jones and more! --
